We strive to provide each patient with an individually tailored women's care experience. We truly understand the personal nature of the care we provide and are committed to meeting the needs of each woman we serve. We will approach each encounter as a unique experience and each woman as a complex human being with her own unique array of needs, not as a number. We would like to offer each woman as much time as she needs to address her concerns and we will maintain a practice size that promotes her commitment to each individual. We are committed to a practice model that feels more like a friendship and functions as a partnership in which optimizing your health, function, and the life you have to live is the common goal. Our membership-based Primary Care Model is necessary to allow us to provide women with truly individualized, integrative care. We will offer video visits for your convenience because we understand that your daily life has enough hassles.
Meet Our Doctors
Dr. Melissa Chinn is a fun-loving woman who was born and raised in Seattle, WA. She completed her medical training and residency in California and Nevada, respectively. Dr. Chinn is a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine, which means she was trained to take care of the PERSON within the PATIENT. Her approach is inherently integrative & truly holistic. Dr. Chinn believes it is hard to treat a condition without addressing its full context, and she knows that laughter truly is the best medicine. She approaches each situation with both her refreshing sense of humor and her tremendous compassion. She has been practicing since 2005 in the greater Seattle area. In 2019, she decided to focus her practice where her true passion lies: overall women's wellness and gynecology. Dr. Chinn prefers a practice model that addresses women as complete humans, and has therefore established Chinn GYN to allow her to tailor her practice uniquely to each individual. She hates being in the stirrups as much as you do
Morghan was born and raised in rural Montana. She attended Swarthmore College for her undergraduate training and then completed her graduate training at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, PA. She has practiced in a wide variety of setting and locations throughout the Pacific Northwest, which she believes to truly be her home. She has served as faculty for University programs in Alaska, Washington, and Oregon. One of the things that she finds most fulfilling about her career is having the opportunity to partner with others in their learning processes, which she sees as an integral and often absent facet of healthcare. She is deeply committed to her own lifelong learning. She joined Chinn GYN for its commitment to integrative care that is truly personal. She thinks of women's health as a discipline that should promote the health of the whole woman, not focus exclusively on her reproductive parts and functions. Her least favorite thing to do is get a pap smear.
Meet Our Staff
Ever the ethereal, art-loving, beauty-seeking nomad, Lexx has lived throughout the country and has traveled afar to broaden her horizons, always finding herself drawn back to the Pacific Northwest. Lexx is an animated fireball who is madly in love with the world. She joined Dr. Chinn in creating the dream that would become the Chinn GYN model of care and starts each day challenging the team to ensure each service offered within our clinic walls is top-tier, evidence-based, highly effective, individually appropriate and ultimately safe. Remarkably talented, Lexx has many surprising skills the likes of which most people cannot begin to guess. Lexx's greatest driving force is in preserving and promoting autonomy for every single being. She is ardently compelled to protect individual justice, equity, and equality, and she is driven to assist others in optimizing the quality of their lives and achieving the stuff of their dreams. Lexx serves as an ambassador for the Mount Vernon Chamber of Commerce and thrives on networking with others and learning more about personal experiences, hopes and dreams, as she is inspired by possibility and loves to approach life from well outside the box. When Lexx is not in the clinic, she is often found gliding around with wheels beneath her feet, tending to her vast collection of pet snakes, or immersed in creative work. She loves to empower others and truly believes there is no place on earth that is better than Chinn GYN.
Paige is our favorite remote administrative employee! When you call, Paige will always do her absolute best to take care of all of your needs! Paige loves cycling & hiking all over Whatcom, Skagit, & Island counties, which can include multi-day treks in the North Cascades. She dreams of embarking on backpacking trips on the Pacific Crest Trail or the Amalfi Coast of Italy. Paige has a passion for end-of-life care & volunteers with hospice, where she has found community with local death doulas & other deathcare workers with whom she collaborates to meet the physical, spiritual, & emotional needs of the dying & their support systems. In her free time, Paige connects with people & nature as much as possible. When alone, she practices meditation, knits cozy things, collects vinyl records, & obsessively devours books, podcasts, & music. An optimist with a strong desire to help others shine, Paige is excited to bring her best self to the Chinn GYN team & looks forward to contributing to our mission of revolutionizing the healthcare offered in Western Washington.
Di comes to us with a robust background in the aesthetic world, and brings a wealth of knowledge in all things skincare and laser, as well as ninja scheduling skills! Di is joining Lexx and Paige at the front and will be rounding out our devoted front office team. Say hi and introduce yourself when you have the pleasure of meeting her!
Di has a terrific sense of humor, humility, and is a hard-worker who has found herself wonderfully dedicated to our cause in the first few weeks of being on the team! She brightens up our space and truly treats all of those around her with the same outstanding level of empathy and care.
In her free time, Di enjoys reading (and will readily recommend fun books), dining out (will ask for all of your favorite restaurants in the area), spending time with her family (wife to one and mother to a gaggle of boys), cuddling her bulldog Stella, and loves to go on road trips!
Haley is from Washington and loves the state for everything the environment and community has to offer.
Haley is especially fond of hamburgers, and has an awesome tattoo to prove it.
She loves anything mentally stimulating- books, video games, cartoons- you name it!
Haley is an animal lover who lives vicariously through pictures of other people's pets... So be sure to introduce yourself when you see her in the office, and don't forget to show her a picture of Fido!
Stephanie is a nurse who came to us with a mission: to bring patients joy and confidence! She is our aesthetics provider and would love to boost YOUR confidence!
Outside of work you can almost always find Steph outside. She's usually mountain biking, skiing, backpacking, or hiking; you name it, she's at least tried it!
When she's inside she loves to read, cook, and spend time with her cats, Chai & Essie. She also loves music (apologies in advance if she's humming while doing your procedure...) When you run into her in the office be sure to ask for a hike or book recommendation!
Daisy aims to use her time and energy to do good for the world and working in healthcare is where she feels called to do so!
Daisy loves to meet new people and learn about their story, by simply starting a conversation she has found that the world opens up in ways she never could have imagined.
Daisy loves weight lifting, spending time with her adorable pup, and being with her family! She looks forward to bringing a positive energy to the team and to striving every day to do better than the day before!
